BINGO BANGO BONGO

Win points by being in the right place at the right time.

This challenge puts separate values on the long game, short game, and putting.   Three points are up for grabs on each hole. Points are assigned a dollar amount before the match begins.

The nature of this game requires following proper order of hitting, so ready golf needs to be put on the back burner.

BINGO: The player who makes the putting surface first wins a point.

BANGO: After everyone is on the green, closest to the pin wins a second point.

BONGO: The third point is awarded to the player who gets their put in the hole first.

Points are tallied at the end of the game and the difference is paid out accordingly.

Many variations can be created here.  Some like to play that a point is made for getting the ball closest to the hole in regulation*.  You might like to add skills such as a point for the first drive in the fairway.

The beauty of this game is that it is perfect for golfers with varying skill levels.  Winning points does not depend on a low score, it just matters where you are in the given order of things. For example, getting a BANGO point could be won much more easily by not making the green on your approach.  Chipping of the fringe may give you a marked advantage to get it close!

*Regulation means being on the green after one stroke on a par 3, two on par 4s, and three on par 5s.
