This is a fun alternative to the same old side games. This game is focused on rewarding good putting. Start out by agreeing on a player contribution to the betting pot.
Once play is underway, players compete to earn points with their putting as follows:
- Making a putt from off the green = 2 points
- One putt = 1 point
- 3 consecutive two putts or better = 1 point
- 3 putt or more = no points – but add agreed upon $$ amount to pot
At the conclusion of the round, after the beers are served, count each player’s points.
Then take a deck of cards and deal each player one card for each point earned.
Once the cards are dealt, play Stud poker (no peeking). Use the traditional method where the first player turns a card, and the next player then must turn until they beat the last player. The outcome is fixed, but turning cards this way adds some drama!
The best Poker hand wins the pot.
OPTIONS:
- Declare a wild card(s) before dealing.
- Allow additional betting as the cards are turned.
